| It's Back - But
Armed! Victoria gives the lowdown on snow's sudden attack on Aberdeen A few days ago in the North East there were several days of blizzard-like conditions. Drivers experienced problems as they were forced to abandon their cars and forget all hope of going to work. The roads were like a sheet of ice as gritters were sent out in the hopes of conquering the sheet ice, but no such luck. Hazard warning signs were put up but that didn't help the really hazardous areas where the roads had to be blocked off because of the ice and snow. Winter returned with a vengeance sparking |
huge traffic delays and a series of
accidents, the day after people were basking in spring
sunshine. Here are some of the accidents that happened, *A two car smash on the A96 south of Keith, which saw one man suffer head, leg and chest injuries. *An over-turned van on the A93 at Drumoak. *A car going off the B907 Stonehaven to Peterculter road near Netherley. *An over-turned jeep on the A947 Aberdeen to Banff road near Old Meldrum. * Two breakdowns on the Portlethen to Netherley road. |
