ADMISSIONS

Our catchment area is the town of Marlborough extending west as far as the public library, includes the village of Mildenhall to the east and various other small hamlets within a radius of a few miles.

Most of our Year 3 children come to us from St. Mary’s Infant School and Year 6 children generally move on to St. John’s School and Community College. We have active links with both of these schools to ensure a smooth transition for children as they move through the education system in Marlborough. The school also has links with other primary schools in the St. John’s catchment area.

Children transferring from St Mary’s will have a visit to St. Peter’s Junior School, as well as a meeting for parents, before they join us and all relevant information will be made available to you. If you are thinking of joining St. Peter’s from another school, please get in touch with the school office and we will be pleased to answer your questions and arrange a visit for you and your child to view the school. Transfer to secondary takes place at the end of the school year and arrangements are made for children to visit their future secondary school prior to transfer. All necessary information is made available to you early in the summer term.

The Governors have adopted the LEA policy on admissions. A copy of ‘A Guide to School Admissions in Wiltshire' can be viewed in the school office or in any Wiltshire Public Library.
