Governors

The Governors are like a Board of Directors and decide how the school should be run. They usually meet once a term at school and minutes of the meetings are posted on the notice board in the reception hall.

School governors may be parents, teachers at the school, local council representatives, community representatives, diocesan representatives or business people. They are responsible for the curriculum, the standards of behaviour, the school budget, premises and the appointment of staff. Governors usually serve for four years.
