Today three people from a Theatre group called "Word and Action" came to our school gym to perform a small play. They were called Dave, Chris and Sarah. They dont use props or costumes, instead people are used as props. Seeing that it was St Valentines day, Dave decided to make up a love story.
The ideas came from us and the story was about a man called Peter Joe who had a big nose, a lot of spots, big ears and big teeth. He was also very childish and sucked his finger. One day he was in the swimming pool and the next door neighbours dog came in and bit his nose and his nose shrank. The next door neighbour Samantha Rosemary Joe played by Kathy Trainor saw him and fainted. He gave her the kiss of life, but unfortunately she died!
Peter Joe won the lottery and he went on an aeroplane to Belgium. He met the girl again in the Supermarket by the ice-cream section when their trollies banged against each other. She had come back to life! Then they decided to get married in the Shankill Road in Belfast. When they got married they had four children.
Dave, Sarah and Chris played some of the parts and the pupils volunteered to be objects or people. For example we had to be a swimming pool, a shopping trolley, the neighbour.
My friend Kelly and I were the wings of the aeroplane and Emma was the front of the aeroplane. The pilot started the aeroplane by twisting Emma's pony tail.
The part I enjoyed most was when Samantha Rosemary Joe had the children, because the four people who played the children came out under Kathy Trainor's legs. I really enjoyed the play. It was so funny and exciting. From the start I wanted to take part and I was delighted to be picked.
