Vocabulary tests based on Encore Tricolore
Pupils taking their GCSE will know that they will not have access to a dictionary in the Reading, Listening and Oral skills of their examination. These tests are designed to assist with the learning of vocabulary and phrases from each Encore Tricolore unit. Each test is a selection of words from the "Sommaires" in Encore Tricolore 3 Nouvelle Edition (NE) and the "Lexiques" in Encore Tricolore 4. They should also help with revision for end of year exams and the GCSE.
You are advised to use these tests only to help you to learn the words - a check on your progress with the vocab from each unit as you work your way through it. Remember that you must be able to write out your own translations in order to achieve a good level of accuracy and do not forget to try to learn the genders of nouns.The tests can be printed out both before and after completion to help with this.
