There are 7 full time members of staff and 1 part time . Of the full time staff, two teach just French, two teach French and German and three teach French and Spanish. The part-time member of staff teaches French and also acts as our Languages Support Teacher. (For full staff details, see Details of staff). There are also French & Spanish assistants for 10 periods per week.
Lessons with the assistante
A German assistant helps in St.Olave's and with year 11 and 6th form teaching. The department teaches French to all in years 9-11. German or Spanish are also taught in year 9, becoming options from year 10. French, German and Spanish are taught to A2 level.
