Y5 have recently been on a trip to the Jewish Museum in Manchester as part of their RE topic “Living in a Jewish Family”.
They saw many fantastic artefacts at first hand, such as stained glass windows, spice boxes, a 7- and 9- branched menorah (candlestick) and a Torah. Everyone enjoyed the day immensely.
Year 6 supervise the elections for pupils to pick their “Class Council” members.
One boy and one girl from each class are nominated by their peers to be part of the whole-school “School Council”. They have their own budget and can decide on what improvements THEY want to see around school.
Here, pupils are acting out a Shabbat meal, learning the significance of the food ate and objects used.
They recently updated the Community Room and even bought a fish tank!
