Legal Action – conclusion Request has been made to Harper McLeod on how to proceed this action. An outline Form of Instruction has been provided which should be circulated to members. Lawyers should inform tribunal offices that this case has been concluded.

Management of this process was then discussed.

HJ outlined a procedure which he considered appropriate:

Registered letter informing members of how to close individual case.

Lawyer has already contacted the tribunal offices indicating that TD is the new representative for these actions.

A letter should be sent to the tribunal offices from the lawyer correcting an error in the naming of any representative from AEAS.  HJ offered to draft an appropriate letter. An offer accepted by the comm..

AEAS to send a letter to members with cases pending indicating that they must act quickly on receipt of the communication from the Tribunal as there could be a ‘Claim for Costs’ from employers.

Proof of posting of all letters should be obtained.

HJ indicated that NAEIAC could be contacted for advice and support on any issues which might arise from this correspondence.
