Experiment

This page is dedicated to an experiment which is being carried out concerning the effects of environmental influences on behaviour.

Up to now, these experiments have mostly been carried out on humans or primates but my research has led into a different field, to investigate how prolonged exposure to different cultures effects the behaviour of Teddy Bears:thus addressing once and for all the long standing dispute as to whether nature or nuture is the primary influence on Teddy Bear behaviour.

In order to carry out this work I have enlisted the help of two teachers, Mrs S. Flint in the United Kingdom and Miss C.Kelly in the United States of America.

Some time ago they wrote to me concerning the twin bears who were found in London whose story you have already seen. After some deliberation I asked whether they would be willing to help with my research. Thus the experiment began.

In order to record changes of behaviour, it was agreed that every six months the bears would change countries. During their time with each host, records would be kept concerning their development, a small sample of which you are able to view on the respective bear's page.

The initial experiment is to run for five years.
