In 2001 Burdock and Albert went to Australia
This is me and my friend Albert at Manchester Airport, Britain! Albert has traveled all over the world but never as far as Australia! He wants to know how he will be able to stay upside down all the time! We just got strapped in and it was time to change planes in London. Albert thought we were already in Australia and started to look for kangaroos. Sitting on a plane was very tiring so after we had watched the Shrek, we had a nap to pass the time away. We've just crossed the Equator and have turned upside down to prove it. All the rest of the plane is the other way round. I went to the toilet on the plane and the water really does go down the plug hole anti clockwise. I woke everyone up on the plane to let them know. They were pleased. Oh I do like to be beside the seaside. Here I am on the most famous beach in the world-Bondi Beach near Sydney in Australia. Albert is under the sand heap. He would not stay down for long. Albert decided to have his photo taken but wouldn't take his jumper off. Surf's up! Bondi is famous for surfing and we all had a go. Just after this photo we were swept out to sea and had to be rescued by Bay Watch. This was scarey! The croc was in a Rainforest Sanctuary near Cairns in Queensland. I had to watch my toes as one quick nip and they would have been gone. Later we saw wild crocs on the Daintree River in the rainforest for real. They were 4 m long! This wallaby wanted to take me for a ride in her pouch but couldn't fit me in as she already had a Joey there. Koalas sleep for 20 hours a day. They need all that sleep in order to digest their meal of Eucalyptus leaves. This one was just waking up so had a nibble of my fur then went back to sleep. Albert and I are Scuba Divers and went diving for 2 days on the Great Barrier Reef. It was fantastic but very wet. I put my hand in a giant clam and stroked a sea squirt! We're feeling a bit sick as the waves are getting rough. Still we haven't seen any Sharks. Albert was disappointed at that. He went snorkling with a plastic fin on his back. The dive leader wasn't amused. Swimming in a water hole in the rainforest was chilly so Albert kept his jumper on! This is a replica of the Endeavour which was in Cairns whilst we were there! Captain Cook was on the original one. We saw this ship last year in Liverpool in England. One of the most famous sights in the world is the Sydney Opera House.
Albert is singing a selection from Abba on the Rocks Sydney,as they would't let him sing inside! These are 3 very odd Pommies who just happened to comment on my singing. Another replica ship was at the Rocks, Sydney. This was the Bounty of mutiny fame. I climbed this bridge and got a certificate to prove it! We liked this place so kept coming back! Albert keeps asking when is he going to meet Sydney!Albert and I are outside the Captain Cook statue in Hyde Park, Sydney.
