The swimming pool was opened in August 1993 as a result of unstinting effort on the part of a committee of parents, teachers and members of the local community, most notably the Wansbrough Paper Mill, to raise the necessary funds. The pool's facilities have continued to be extended and improved. The Knights Templar swimming pool is used by the school itself, the local community of Watchet and many other surrounding first/primary schools without such a facility.

The Knights Templar Community I.T. Centre is a recent addition to the excellent facilities available at Knights Templar School. Much of the funding for the I.T. Centre was provided by Dave Westcott of Mace Stores. Not only is it invaluable in the teaching of I.T. in the school, it is also available for use by the community of Watchet. Resources available include a large multimedia library, a fast Internet connection, a colour scanner, laser and colour printers, and office software. The computers are manufactured by RM, who also provide the Internet connection.

A central part of the Knights Templar building is the large hall with its gallery and separate Users' kitchen. It was built with funds raised by the people of Watchet and a large grant from the Sports Council, and combines daily school use with a full programme of community events. (See Events).

The fiction library is situated on the upper floor overlooking the hall, and was constructed along with the hall with the aid of the Watchet townsfolk and the "Watchet 1000" celebrations. It contains a large selection of books and is managed by a "library committee" made up of teachers and pupils.
