The School's capacity is 900 pupils and enjoys the distinction of being over-subscribed. The intake is genuinely comprehensive and pupils are lively and friendly and respond well to firm discipline and imaginative teaching.

Pupil Services

The Directors of Upper & Lower School take an overview of all that affects pupils in their domain. There is no separate 'pastoral' system but Years 10 & 11 have Senior Tutors as year heads and Years 7, 8 & 9 which comprise the Lower School have the shared attention of a Senior Manager and Manager. Senior Tutors and Managers of Lower School co-ordinate the work of Form Tutors, who play a key role in monitoring pupils and their work.
