This book is a humorous book about Pearl, Mitch and her Gran. It is set in London and some parts are very touching. Pearl's mum is a very busy woman, so Pearl is always on her own. Her only friend is her Guinea pig Winston who dies. Pearl writes to her Gran in Australia asking if she can live with her, not knowing that this will change her life forever.
