Armstrong Primary School is a controlled coeducational primary school with a mixed intake of city and rural children, both boys and girls. Enrolment is approximately 400; 2 classes in each year group with 1 reception class and 2 special educational needs classes. The school is situated right next door to the Armagh Planetarium.

Three multimedia projects were undertaken by this school.

Armstrong Gazette
This was a school magazine that Year 6 pupils undertook to present the various aspects of school life incorporating sound, photographs and original artwork.

Our School Trip
This was a topic selected by another group of Year 6 pupils describing their school trip to the zoo.

A Music project
This was a traditional scrapbook activity that a group of Year 5 pupils decided to turn into a multimedia presentation.

Coleraine Girls' Secondary School is situated on an attractive site overlooking the town of Coleraine. It is a single sex secondary school and is well equiped to implement the continuing developments in education. Current enrolment is 530 pupils aged between 11 and 18 years old.

The main focus in this school has been on a multimedia presentation about the school radio involving as small group of Year 11 pupils.

Friends' School is a non-denominational, voluntary grammar school, founded in 1774 by the religious Society of Friends. It has over 1,100 pupils and 63 members of staff. It maintains the Quaker ethos of care of the individual.

Two multimedia presentations were undertaken by the pupils.

Rock Music
This was a presentation on rock music by 4 Year 8 boys. Their interest in creating a multimedia presentaion was sparked by initially browsing the Dinosaurs and Musical instruments CD-ROMs. Work on this topic was carried out in the pupils' own time

Animals
This was a topic selected by a group of pupils to highlight the plight of endangered species of animals. One interesting aspect about this presentation was that it incorporated a visit to the zoo where the pupils took photographs using the quicktime camera to incorporate in their presentation.

St Cecilia's is an all girls secondary school with a current enrolment of 930 pupils aged 11-18. It is situated in the the heart of the Creggan district of Derry. The school decided to concentrate on one main project.

Multimedia Storybook
A group of Year 11 girls decided to create a multimedia storybook for Year 3 pupils. This involved interviewing younger children for ideas and the incorporation of original artwork.

St Peter's Primary School is a modern co-educational school, which was formed by the amalgamation of two single sex schools in 1989. There are currently 470 children at the school which opened on its present site in April 1989.
During Phase 1, 2 multimedia projects were untaken by the IT Coordinator and the teacher librarian as follows:

Famous People
This multimedia presentation was created by 5 Year 7 remedial pupils. People who have used their talents was an interesting topic in the religion curriculum. The pupils worked on a biographical presentation of world figures such as Martin Luther King, Michaelangelo. The IT Coordinator was impressed with the levels of motivation and increased concentration displayed by this group of children.

Our School Library
This multimedia presentation, was a guide to using the library including its layout and was undertaken by a group of 13 Year 6 pupils, working once a week with the teacher librarian.
