Meet Our Pets!  (awaiting update)

We believe that children learn best about the living world through careful daily observation. We also want our children to treat animals with care and kindness. Our school pets are a very important part of our school family and our curriculum. Here are just a few of them ! If you want to meet them all come and visit us ! Or you could send one of the pets an e-mail message to trimdongrange.infants@durhamlea.org.uk

Rosie

Rosie is a rescue rabbit. She was found abandoned in a park in Blackhall. We have adopted her and now she lives with a very cheeky guinea pig called Murphy. They are the best of friends. Their spacious hutch is in the Key Stage One department. She loves to play out on the grass in the Summer.

The Gerbil Gang

We have ten gerbils in various tanks around the school. They are very enterprising and love to build and tunnel. This is Houdini planning his escape from his tank Colditz. Our other gerbils are called Toby, Maisie, Snowdrop, Fudge, Stuart, Smudge, Daisy, Lily and Jet.
