Your Challenge

The images and symbols of Ancient Egypt have captured peoples imaginations for centuries.

Your challenge is to use these images and symbols in the design of a box to hold an object or objects of your own choosing.

Why this Activity is Useful

Professional designers seldom work in a vacuum. In other words, they often use the work of other designers as inspiration for their own design ideas. You will learn how to do this yourself so that you can apply what you have learnt not only to this project but also to your future Design and Technology projects and to your work in other subjects such as Art.

This activity will also encourage you to think about perhaps the most important thing in Technology:

Satisfying the Needs of Other People

For example, the owner of these valuable pens needs to keep them from being lost or damaged. How would you satisfy this need?
