Join the Centre's Experts Panel

How Does the Experts Panel Work?

The Experts Panel will be an Email service. Questions will be sent to the UK Technology Education Centre's main postbox. From there, they will be forwarded to a suitable expert, whose task it will be to provide an answer and return it to the Centre. And finally, answers will be passed back to the questioner.

As an example, a student may be conducting research as part of a design-and-make task and needs to gather opinions about how best to tackle the problem of, say, designing and making a burglar alarm. In this case, the Centre may pass the question to both an electronics expert for a technical viewpoint and an architect for an aesthetic viewpoint. The scenarios are limitless . . . Answers are always sent back to the questioner via the Centre. The Centre will ensure that individual experts remain anonymous and that they are not innundated with questions.

All experts will be volunteers from, hopefully, all walks of life. Of course, they will need to demonstrate their ability to take a place on the Panel by answering a number of specialism-orientated questions.

Once signed on, experts will need to decide how many questions they are prepared to answer per week.

Please read on if you are interested in joining the Centre's Experts Panel.
