The African-Caribbean
Network for Science and Technology have offered to work with Birmingham Teachers from
schools having a significant proportion of African-Caribbean children. The intention is to
explore a "multi cultural" maths topics.Teachers from interested schools
attended a mini-conference.
Many aspects of numeracy can be developed
by playing board games. A selection of games, many from Asia, are described on our Games Page.
Use data collected from children living
in South India with children at your school. A resource pack is available from the Goodwill
Children's Village Society containing cross curricular activities for pupils in key
stages 2 and 3. The pack comes with a computer disc containing the database.
