Begin your keystage 3 Maths lesson with a "Starter of
the Day". A different starter for each day of the year designed to get your
lesson of to a good start. Each starter is designed to be projected on to a
screen or whiteboard.

of Numeracy software suitable for use in Primary schools. The reviews were
written by teachers from three Birmingham schools. Really useful for schools trying to decide which software to buy. |

Shine+Write, some visual aids to use with an interactive whiteboard. They also lend themselves to be used with a data projector and an ordinary whiteboard. These free resources allow the teacher to illustrate ideas (Shine) and annotate as necessary (write). These examples were designed for key stage 3 teachers. | |
| Here's a new idea for finding an online activity for your students. The Maths Map allows you to choose an area of Mathematics and then navigate you to an activity suitable for children in keystage 3 or upper primary. | ||

Our most popular free resource is "TablesMaster". A simple computer program which challenges pupils to speed up their mental recall of tables. Teachers and pupils can easily monitor progress over a period of time. |

Towers" is a journey through a large house with a mission to find the
treasure room. A number of mathematical problems on the way add the
numeracy elment to the adventure.

The spreadsheet available here for download can be
used to analyse how different groups of pupils or individuals perform on
particular objectives. Aggregate scores also highlight which objectives
are strengths or weaknesses across the class.
