Ongoing for Year 10. Camps and other activities are part of the Award programme.

DAY ACTIVITIES

Art/Ceramics London Visits

Various times (depending on exhibitions) Both Year 11 and Year 10 will have one visit for each subject. Cost £16 - £18

Canoeing

September /October After School each Tuesday, Haven Banks: Years 8,9,10,11

May/June /July cost £4.00. (All Years in the summer term)

October - March Various kayak trips down local rivers:

cost about £5.00 including wet suit hire. If Competent

Caving

Autumn and Spring terms. Various caving days, mainly in the Mendips:

cost about £6.00 including hire of kit. All Years

Climbing

Autumn and Spring terms after school on Friday afternoons, at Bristol Climbing Wall.Dates still to be arranged.Cost about £10.00.

Recreational

There will be several trips for activities such as ice skating, Alton Towers etc. Some will be open to a particular year group and others to all. They are not in school time.

Careers*

There are many visits to Colleges, workplaces and careers exhibitions, particularly in Year 11 but also in the summer term for Year 10.

Drama*

Termly Theatre Visits to Stratford and other theatres Yrs 10 & 11

Dartmoor/Ten Tors

17 October Sponsored Walk for interested pupils and families

9 April OATS Walk across Dartmoor (Cost £6 ) Yrs 9,10, 11

Curriculum Activities (Physical Education, Science,History, Geography)*

There are many sporting competitions and fixtures both after school and in school time. No charge is normally made.

There are local day visits for science, geography and history both for GCSE and for the Lower School. A contribution is normally requested.

Many other day and after school visits are arranged when opportunities arise

Note: the items marked* take place during the school day and a charge may not be made. However, although they are normally subsidised by the school we could not afford their full cost and if the contribution requested is not made we may not be able to run them.
