Uffculme School Association
Aims
Uffculme School has an active parent's association which organises events
throughout the year to raise money to provide extra items for the school which
enhance and improve the environment for the pupils and staff. It is a
registered charity run by an elected committee of parents and staff. Some of
the events organised are primarily for raising funds, whereas others have a
more social purpose enabling parents to get together to have an enjoyable
evening.
The last major fund raising campaign was to raise £5,000 towards a new library
extension. This was achieved thanks to the support of pupils and parents at
all the events organised. More recently the USA has purchased a new laser
printer and various pieces of hardware for the school. Having asked the staff
at the school for requests for purchases the following expenditure was agreed
at the last committee meeting:
£100 towards the school riding team
£306 for a new scroll saw (Technology)
£200 towards visual resources for the Art Dept.
£200 for 25 keyboard headphones (Music)
£150 towards maths books in the library (Maths)
