The exam results, with a couple of exceptions were again pleasing. All Social and Economic pupils gained grades with some notable personal successes. Modern World grades were outstanding for the second year running with 93% of students achieving A - C grades.
Some Social and Econimic students receive a fillip this year with an overnight stay at Coalbrookdale. This visit (to such a central part of their syllabus) we hope to make an annual event.
For the first time ever, over one hundred students have opted to study either Modern World Social and Economic or the new Certificate of Achievement course in Years 10 & 11.
Coursework begins for Year 11. The Coursework is 25% of their final total mark.
Mock exams for Year 11 are in December.
There will be visits for some Year 9 classes to Taunton Museum and Knightshayes Court.
