Royal Visit

At the invitation of the headteacher, Peter Norman, the farm and school were honoured to welcome HRH the Prince of Wales for a two hour visit on Friday 31st January 2003.

Having arrived by helicopter and shaken hands with headteacher and senior students, the Prince was presented with a walking stick made by local craftsman Robert Denton. The handle of the stick, made from burr acacia, depicts a the head of a teal duck.

The Prince admiring a 2 week old kids. He was also shown how the farm's goats are milked and discussed how the milk in then used for young lambs.
Sally the sow didn't want to be left out and offered her trotter to the Prince.

HRH admires the work done by YFC in preparing one of our dexters for showing.
