This is a painting of Baudelaire by Emile Deroy. Painted in 1844 the painting shows Baudelaire as he was when living in the Hotel Pimodan. It is one of the few surviving works by Deroy, who died in 1846.
Beside the famous City Lights bookstore
in San Francisco there exists a giant mural dedicated to Baudelaire.
