Absences

Children should attend school everyday unless they are unwell.

The class teacher or Head Teacher should receive a letter of explanation or phone-call for absence.

Visits to the dentist or hospital require presentation of an appointment card.

It is sometimes necessary for children to make visits abroad. It is important that you see the Head Teacher about this. There have been recent changes in legislation regarding this and all long holiday absences must be authorised by the Head Teacher. If you fail to do this, your child's name will be removed from the school roll. Please ask for a fact sheet if you require further details.

At William Davies we recognise that regular attendance at school is vital to a child's education.
