Basic Recipe For A Chocolate Cereal Bar!

100g Chocolate

50g high fibre breakfast eg:Branflakes,Rice Krispies, Weetabix 1-2 tsp of any extra high fibre foods for example:

SEEDS

DRIED FRUITS

Sesame

Sultanas

Sunflower

Currants

Pumpkin

Raisins

Dried peaches

Apricots

Pear

Optional extras:

NUTS - Walnuts, Almonds, Cashew, Glace cherries

YEAR 6 - Have been designing and chocolate cereal bar. They all used white or brown milk chocolate.We then add extras. The chocolate bar had had to be high in fibre and cost no more than 20p.

ANDREW MIDGLEY - Chose to use rice crispies and sultanas.Decorating the bar with coconut, sesame seeds and glace cherries.

MICHAELA MAHON - Chose chopped walnuts,raisins and dried peaches mixed with bran flakes finally sprinkling the bar with sesame seeds.

DANIEL HODGSON - mixed cornflakes with dried apricot glace cherries finishing his bar with coconut and sesame seeds.

How to make a Crispy Bar!

1. Get out equipment.

2. Choose food.

3. Grease your moulds.

4. Chop up any other food.

5. Melt the chocolate using the cooker (TAKE CARE) or use the microwave.

6. Add any extra ingredients.

7. Stir gently with a dessertspoon.

8. Put in the mould using a dessertspoon.

9. Press into mould using a palette knife.

10. Decorate with any extra ingredients.

12. Leave to set in the fridge.

13. Wash up and clear away equipment.
