We aim:
to create a happy, caring and positive learning environment to develop the individual potential of each child, to encourage a partnership of mutual respect and co-operation between home and school, parent and teacher.
We encourage:
the pursuit of excellence respect for self and others, good manners.
We require:
the wearing of school uniform by all children, the completion of home work on a timetabled basis, self discipline.
We believe:
we are successful in reaching these objectives and by so doing have developed a school which has an enviable reputation for the excellence of its teaching.
Wibsey is a great school. It is jam packed with after school activities and sport clubs. Raffles, bingo and beetle drive nights are regular events that occur at Wibsey. We are lucky to have a great science lab with all the facilities, three well equipped technology rooms and a computer room with a range of machines on which those who like IT are encouraged to practise their skills.
There are many outings and annual trips, such as skiing in Austria, outdoor activity centres, nature reserve and trips to places with historical interest such as the Victorian museum. Our teachers are very pleasant and are always happy to help us with our problems, some even have lunchtime clubs and workrooms for those who need extra help with subjects. We pupils are encouraged to be helpful and polite. We are also expected to behave properly around school and have year 8 pupils to ensure we do. I am very happy at Wibsey and I have lots of friends.
I enjoy the subjects and the teachers who teach them.

At the moment, we are making shorts for the very young children in Zaire and Rwanda. There are many children suffering with illnesses in the hospitals and the villages and we are hoping OXFAM came into school to tell us all about the problems they are having in these two countries. We will take some more pictures when we have finished making the shorts.
Some classes in year 8 are working with three Elderly peoples housing complexes in Wibsey. We have found out the residents would like us to make them such as make up bags, shoe bags, glasses cases and toiletry bags. When we have finished making them, we will visit the residents in there homes so we can evaluate them. Here are some pictures of the children busy brushing up their hand and sewing machine skills.
