The Void
Jenny and LiteStar woke up on the floor under their chairs. "What happened?" Jenny groaned as she pushed herself up. "I guess we stopped rather suddenly" replied LiteStar making his way to the console. "Let's see where we are".
The screen came to life. Jenny squinted, blinked, rubbed her eyes and then just stared.
"Look" she shouted, pointing at the screen. 
"Oh no. I hoped this wouldn't happen" LiteStar groaned as he held his head in
his hands. He thought it was his fault they had entered the void. He told himself that he
should have tested his time machine before showing it to Jenny. But he couldn't wait. Was
it his fault or was there nothing but a void outside of their time? It just didn't make
sense. How can there be a void? After all, matter was everywhere and they can't have just
landed in nothingness!
With this thought he got up, walked around the room and bent down. "Oh, look"
he called over to Jenny, "think this might have something to do with it?" he
asked pointing to a cable lying on the floor behind the screen. "Plug it in,
silly" Jenny said patting him on the shoulder. "Ohhhhhhh, look" Jenny
pointed at the screen. "Come on" LiteStar shouted pulling at Jenny's sleeve as
he ran towards the door. "Where are we?" Jenny asked as she stepped out on to
the squishy floor of what looked and felt like a huge bowl of jelly.
