The Quest - Part 3

The Attack of the Gorillas
When LiteStar awoke, he was in a very, very large barrel. His vision was blurred. When it became clearer, he started walking. It was only then that he realised he had shrunk! "Yipes!" he cried, as a colossal drop of wine came down from the roof. He reached for his rune-stones. His axe was missing! The magic broke the barrel and made LiteStar grow. He looked around and saw Jade, who had also broken the barrel! "Do you know what happened?" asked LiteStar."No. the last thing I saw was a big, black hairy thing over my face!"
"Whoever caught us took my axe!" LiteStar complained.
"Oh, so that's whose it is," said Jade pulling the axe out of her backpack.
"Thanks!" said LiteStar, really grateful.
"Hmmmmm!" came a sound from a barrel.
"Shall we open it?" LiteStar enquires.
"We might as well"
LiteStar had his axe poised over the barrel, and Jade removed the lid. Out popped Gothmog, and flew about a metre into the air! He hadn't shrunk. "Gosh, that spring hurt me," said Gothmog, as there was a large spring in the bottom of his barrel. When Elija and Jason were found, they too hadn't shrunk.
"I saw who took us," said Jason "They were gorillas!"
LiteStar was perplexed. "Why gorillas?" he thought. "Let's get going." LiteStar threw his axe into the bolted door. It cracked with ease. Along a corridor, they met a gorilla. It was quite small and as soon as it saw them it ran away down a corridor and into a room.
"He might alert the others," said Elija. They ran past the door, and as soon as they passed, it opened. Big, hairy gorillas sprang out and started throwing bananas and rocks and all sorts of other things after them! Jason slipped up on a banana, and slid into a wall, which crumbled, and fell on top of him. Jade and LiteStar ran up to him and looked at him. they thought he was dead, but Jade took the body in the form of a lightweight pebble, thanks to magic. "We can't put up with this much longer" said Elija and Gothmog, who were attempting to fend off the advancing gorillas."Through this hole!" Jade said, pointing to where the wall had collapsed on Jason. They jumped through. There was a bang, and a blinding light blinded them all. They were floating towards a thick, green forest. They landed on the ground, which was mushy and wet. There were lots of strange noises. As soon as they landed, they stopped. "I have a bad feeling about this," said Elija. "Strange things are happening ahead. Extreme magic sources are coming from that house."
"What house?" they all said simultaneously.
"Can't you see? Through that clearing!"
"Oh yes! Let's go and knock." LiteStar said.
"No. It could be dangerous" warned Gothmog.
"OK, everyone hide behind a tree, and I will throw a stone at the door." said LiteStar. Everyone hid while LiteStar threw a stone at the door. An old lady opened it and her croaky voice said "Hello?" She waited around for a while, then her hands started to glow red. A red bolt of energy came towards the tree Elija was hiding in. He jumped in front of it, holding the mirror he found earlier in front of him. As soon as the energy saw him it speeded up, deflected off the mirror and hit the old lady stunning her.
LiteStar ran up and searched her. He looked up with a grin of satisfaction. He then held up 29 rune stones! "Good find!" said Jade, obviously wanting some.
"Let's go" said Gothmog. As they were leaving, the old lady awoke and hit a lever inside her house opening a pit trap which everyone fell into! The old woman came up with some sticks on fire. She was obviously going to throw them in and attempt to burn them to death; then it started to rain. When the rain hit the woman, she screamed and violently wriggled, shrivelled up and died.
LiteStar, nor any of his companions could climb out of the pit for the rain had made the side crumbly. It was coming in, and soon the floor was coated in water and rising fast!
