Reporting to Parents Policy

GOVERNORS' ANNUAL REPORT
In accordance with the requirements of the 1986 Education Act the Governors will forward a report on the preceding year and hold a meeting for the parents/guardians to discuss this report in the Autumn term.
This meeting will be held not less than two weeks after the report has been sent out.
The conduct of the meeting shall be in accordance with the regulations of the 1986 Act or any subsequent statutes or Acts which supersede the 1986 Act.
The report shall be sent free of charge to every parent/guardian of every child on the school roll and to everyone employed within the school.
Additionally it shall be freely available to anyone for inspection at the school and a copy shall be sent to the Local Education Authority.
The Governors will consider whether the report should be translated into languages other than English.

REPORTING PUPIL'S PROGRESSION AND DEVELOPMENT
Each Summer term a written report shall be forwarded to the parent/guardian of every child in the school. Shortly thereafter there will be an opportunity for the parent/guardian to discuss this report with the class teacher.
The school has an 'open door' policy enabling a parent/guardian to request a discussion on the child's progress at a mutually convenient time.
