I live in a little village called Wickham and I’m a Non Teaching Assistant at the village school. I’m married with three children, my husband is Nigel and my children are Shane age 9, Kirsty age 7, and Danielle age 3. We moved to the village in 1989. I’m originally from the West Indian Island of Trinidad. I met my husband Nigel in Trinidad where he was working for a company called Biwater and I worked as Secretary for his boss. That was in 1983 and we got married in 1985. We moved to England in May 1985 and lived in Inkpen near Newbury, Berkshire for four years before moving to Wickham which is about 6 miles outside Newbury.
My last visit to Trinidad was in 1989 when Shane was 13 months old. My mother has been to visit a couple of times as I have no other family in this country. I come from a very large family so it would be nice to hear from any other West Indians in this country. We’re hoping to go to Trinidad this Christmas for about three weeks.
