This web based student project was written as an entry for the 11-18
category for the 1999 STEM Projects Awards. The project is based
on information contained in the Exploration of Space Gallery at the Science
Museum.
The main aims of the project are:-

To give an insight into the history space to anyone interested in this
field, but mainly directed at the younger generation.

To exhibit various features of space travel, e.g. rockets.

To display an interactive site in which students can benifit from the vast
information and worksheet to test their knowledge

Information about the Exploration of Space Gallery

| Spaceflight is explained in the exploration of space gallery.
The gallery contains the Apollo 10 Command Module. You can find out how
satellites work and see a Black Arrow rocket. |
Project Background
Before starting the project our Year 10 class was divided into groups
containing two or three pupils.
We chose a project which linked together the Exploration of Space Gallery
and the Earth,Space & Radiation topic in our GCSE course.
