"This House recognises that the funding of schools must take into account the rise in pupil numbers, the arrangements for children with special needs, the expansion of nursery education, the repair and improvements to school buildings, school support services, the previous year's funding and teachers pay awards; urges the Government to review the funding of education to ensure long term stability in schools to meet those needs and calls upon the Government to provide the necessary resources in its Financial Statement and Budget 1996-7 so that all schools are funded adequately to provider high quality education for all children."
