
The campaign shall be called the FACE Cherwell Pyramid campaign (where FACE denotes "Fight Against the Cuts in Education")
The aims of the campaign shall be to contest continuing cuts and to fight for proper funding in our State Education System
The campaign has no party political affiliations. Individual members of the campaign belonging to political groups shall not pursue individual political interests whilst carrying out or representing the interests of this campaign. The campaign is set up for the educational good of the children in the Cherwell Pyramid specifically and the State Education System generally. It is not set up for the individual interests of any one member or group of members.
Association to the campaign shall be open to the pyramid of schools which feed children through to The Cherwell School, Marston Ferry Rd, North Oxford.
Each associated school shall nominate person/s to be responsible for communication between their school, its families and staff.
Committee Meetings of the campaign shall be open to all parents and/or guardians of children attending, staff and governors of all associated schools. Meetings shall occur as often as is necessary and desirable and shall have the power to deal with any matters not specifically provided for by the Constitution and consistent with the aims of the campaign.
Management of the campaign shall be vested in the Core Group elected annually after due nomination. The Core Group shall consist of Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary and Treasurer. Consent of a nominee shall be obtained before the nomination is accepted.
Voting rights shall be contained in the Core Group plus one member from each associated school.
All fees and moneys collected by the campaign shall be used exclusively in promoting its aims. Payments shall be made only as remuneration for services rendered to the campaign or as reimbursement for authorised expenses incurred on its behalf.
Prime responsibility for the financial affairs of the campaign is vested in the Treasurer, whilst ultimate responsibility rests with the whole committee. All moneys received shall be deposited in the campaign’s bank account.
Statements on behalf of, or in the name of the campaign shall be made only with the authority of the committee, other than exceptionally by the Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary or Treasurer.
