On 27th January 1995, at a meeting in Leamington, of 750 parents, school governors, teachers and others, we decided to launch a national campaign called F.A.C.E.
This decision came for two reasons; first, we are dismayed by the proposed cuts to Warwickshire School Budgets; second, we could tell from media coverage, that colleagues all over the country face the same problem. Well, this is a cut too far, we are going to fight it.
If you are in a protest group, join us, together our voice will be louder our protest will be stronger. Consider doing the following; ring us on 0589789104 or 0926410930 to register your interest. Get your protest group to send a delegation to the inaugural meeting of the national Steering Committee, in Rugby, on February 11th at 11 a.m.
Support for F.A.C.E. is growing fast. A wave of anger and emotion is rising, if organised, that wave will be unstoppable. Join us. Today, six days after the launch of FACE, we are in touch with groups in many authorities. As press coverage builds and word gets around we hope to become a federation of groups across the country. We are particularly keen to involve parents, governors and others in the community, in our campaign. We hope to be a cross section of society, interested in children learning, cross party, appealing to voters of every kind. This is a cut too far. Raise standards, not class sizes. Join us.
